• Title: Exploring Tastes – A Sensory Adventure!
• Age Groups: Playgroup, Nursery, Junior KG, Senior KG
• Objective: Introduce children to different tastes, develop vocabulary, and encourage sensory exploration.
• Materials: Lemon, Salt, Sugar
• Procedure: Prepare three stations with materials, divide students into small groups, taste and describe each item, and identify favorite tastes.
• Observations and Outcomes: Students shifted from using “good” or “bad” to descriptive vocabulary (sour, salty, sweet), and displayed varied preferences for tastes.
• Assessment: Ability to identify and describe tastes, development of sensory awareness.
• Teacher’s Reflection: Students were engaged in sensory exploration.

This Diwali, Kinder Orland transformed into a magical hub of light and color, where our little ones took part in a unique Diya Making Activity that combined the joy of hands-on learning with the richness of Indian tradition. In this vibrant celebration, each child became an artist, carefully crafting and decorating diyas that symbolize the triumph of  light over darkness.

With sparkles, glitters, and a palette of bright colors, our young creators poured their artistic expression into each diya, learning the significance of Diwali and connecting with the cultural roots of the Festival of Lights. This activity wasn’t just about decorating diyas it was an experience in creative learning that allowed children to understand and celebrate the beauty of tradition in a way that was both engaging and educational.

Through this diya-making journey, Kinder Orland encouraged fine motor skills development, fostered cultural awareness, and inspired a true sense of family connection as children looked forward to sharing their handmade diyas with loved ones at home. Each diya crafted is a testament to the  child creativity and boundless joy that makes Diwali such a special time.
